#VioletMartin — of the writing duo Edith Somerville and Martin Ross — was born #onthisday in 1862. After Violet's death in 1915, Edith continued to publish under both of their names. Her portrait here was painted by Somerville in 1862. (Hoping to visit their graves next week!)
