Meanwhile—upon 🇭🇰#HKPF’s request—#INTERPOL (@interpolwanted) has issued 3 #RedNotices🚩🚩🚩 in pursuit of:

Set up in early 2020—JPEX purported to offer ‘low-risk, high-return’ investment opportunities & drew scores of investors as a result of pervasive promotion via:
❗️advertisements
❗️social media
❗️#OTC crypto exchangers
❗️#KOLs—key opinion leaders
On SEP 13, 2023—the 📊Securities & Futures Commission (SFC) issued a warning, stating that:
●no entity in the JPEX Group was licensed by SFC / had applied to SFC for a licence to operate a VATP in🇭🇰
●the unregulated VATP actively promoted its suspicious services

Afterwards—JPEX hiked up the fee it was charging its clients who wished to withdraw #cryptocurrencies from the VATP.
Subsequently—a lot of JPEX’s clients even failed to withdraw their virtual assets, thus incurring great losses💸.

Since SEP 2023—the 🇭🇰#Police have deployed all units of our Crime Wing while collaborating with various 🗺️🇭🇰 #LawEnforcement agencies & regulatory bodies to investigate the case.
It was found that JPEX had transferred its clients’ assets out of the VATP & laundered them via numerous #CryptoWallets🔀.

As of NOV 5, 2025—the🇭🇰Police have:
🔵received reports from 2700+ persons claiming to have lost a total of HK$1.6 BILLION+ to the fraudulent VATP
🔵arrested 80 persons:
●14 core members of the crime syndicate behind the VATP
●16 persons in charge of OTC crypto exchanges & influencers who’d promoted JPEX on social media
●50 #MoneyMules whose stooge accounts had been used to launder the scam proceeds
🔵frozen ≈HK$228 MILLION scam proceeds (bank balances/ cash/ gold bars/ luxury cars/ #VirtualAssets)
