#TheVvaanReview:D-E-C-E-N-T ⭐⭐⭐ (3/5) #TheVvaan, based on the story of #VvaanDevi of Patna, Bihar, does full justice to the power and divinity of Vindhyavasini Devi of Vindhyachal. The film is slow to start in the 1st half as it takes time to establish the world of Belief vs Superstition vs Progress. However, it picks up around the interval and keeps building towards a powerful finale. The climax is executed so beautifully that you actually want it to last longer. It is filled with a strong divine energy and becomes the film’s biggest highlight. The build-up to the Chhathi Maiyaa song is also very well done. Sidharth Malhotra shines in key sequences, while Sunil Grover also makes an impact. The music is good, especially the background score featuring “अयि गिरिनन्दिनि नन्दितमेदिनि विश्वविनोदिनि नन्दिनुते” — it gets stuck in your head instantly. However, the direction could have been better. There is a noticeable touch of Ektaa Kapoor-style storytelling in places. Manish Paul’s jokes are repetitive and stop being funny after the first 1-2 times, making him feel more like a filler in the film. The production setup also could have been grander to match the scale and subject. There are some random cuts and black screen appears at 1 place which make you feels like series. Angle of superstition vs Progress could have been explored more .. However, Overall, The Vvaan has an beautiful story, excellent climax, impactful performances and good music make it Decent One time watch. @EktaaRKapoor @SidMalhotra
