I thought creative writing was above me, I couldn't get it right, until @rachel_magaji brought this "roasters" together with the support of @nitikajainnn of #WCNSP and we started sharing our writing. I am motivated to resume writing. It turns out I have it in me locked somewhere.

On contributing in the workplace. When in doubt, it’s okay to keep quite. You don’t want to set a track record of the one who spills unverified facts. Take sometime to do research and fact check. When called upon, you can request to revert soon. #WCNSP

On contributing in the workplace. While your ideas and opinions matter, you need to respect the opinions and ideas of others too. You can make your point without tearing down or disrespecting others. Diversity makes conversations thorough and richer. #WCNSP

Using the CAR framework is one effective way of selling yourself whether in an interview or communicating your abilities through writing. CAR stands for; C - Context/challenge A - Action R - Results Start by giving context of the situation or challenge… #WCNSP

Feedback is a gift! It's actually one of the greatest gifts you can give or receive, especially when it's constructive. Ken Blanchard even said and I quote "Feedback is the breakfast of champions". #WCNSP

Simplicity is! * Use simple, clear words * Be authentic in your communication * Go straight to the point * Give the receiver an opportunity to reiterate what they have heard and vice versa * Avoid slangs that are not common to both parties * Don't assume they get you #WCNSP

Well, this can be worse when communicating through writing and you cannot get the facial expression, tones and gesticulation of the communicator and vice versa. So, what is the key...? #WCNSP

We can misunderstand someone or have completely different interpretations of what they are saying to us. This is because perception is often clouded by the perceiver's emotions, experiences and biases. #WCNSP
