Pierre Poilievre says Canadians don't need a new home for the Prime Minister. They need homes for working-class Canadians.
Fair enough. Canadians do need more affordable housing.
What I don't understand is why Mr. Poilievre himself lives in taxpayer-funded official accommodation as Leader of the Opposition. Unlike the Prime Minister, @PierrePoilievre isn't expected to host foreign leaders or state dignitaries.
If official residences are a low priority, shouldn't that principle apply consistently?
Canadians deserve leaders who are willing to live by the same standards they ask of everyone else.
