Really interested to see where work on the #WMDFZME goes in this new cycle. It’s understandably not the major priority in the current security context, but its progress is so important to remedying+resolving a range of existing tensions+risks that play a role in current issues.
Lebanon tells #NPT2023 that the NPT is ta protective umbrella from immense threats posed by nuclear weapons. But the failure to advance nuclear disarmament and the Middle East zone free of WMD is damaging. Must resolve contradictions and imbalances of implementation of the NPT.
