Sunbeam is getting serious now ๐
This isn't just about reviving one old historic mine. The bigger story is that #FCM are starting to build evidence for a much larger gold system across the whole Sunbeam district. #wn9
You've got:
โข Historic Sunbeam mine, which actually produced high-grade gold.
โข Roy now drilled, with mineralisation intersected across the programme and high-grade visible gold.
โข Pettigrew sitting on another major structure still to be properly tested.
โข Multiple parallel structures extending for kilometres.
โข Roy interpreted as part of the wider Nahanni Shear Zone.
โข Sunbeam only around 15 km from Agnico Eagle's Hammond Reef deposit.
The key point for me is scale.
FCM have only tested a relatively tiny section of Roy, yet they've already demonstrated gold mineralisation and high-grade shoots.
If Pettigrew starts producing similar results kilometres away, that changes the conversation completely. It starts supporting the idea that Sunbeam isn't one isolated gold occurrence, but part of a district-scale mineralised system.
Still no resource yet, so nobody can honestly say how many ounces are there. That's the big unanswered question.
But geologically?

Cutting channel samples are still being collected across the exposed areas of the Dead Otter Trend.
The initial samples have been bagged, tagged, and are prepared for dispatch to the lab.

I don't understand the market. Take First Class Metals as an example. They have a wonderful portfolio of mineral properties - trading with a market cap of ยฃ2.05M. They have experienced incredible success in the last year, but their shares have fallen from 10.25p to 2.60p. Crazy!
