3C1 French did lots of talking and writing challenges today with Mr McCormick to get ready for their S3 exams! They had to roll the dice and work in groups to complete all the tasks while speaking or writing exclusively in French π«π· #WWHSModLangs
1.5 and 1.10 have been researching different towns in France. Last period the pupils demonstrated their excellent presentation skills and confidence by talking to the rest of the class about their town then we all voted on where weβd most like to go! #WWHSModLangs

In Higher French, to add some flare to our writing and talking, we went on an idiom treasure hunt! We started by thinking about English idioms and matching up some French food idioms then moved onto hunting for new idioms around the modern languages department π΅π»ββοΈπ«π·#WWHSModLangs
Our Higher modern languages classes have been preparing for their final talking assessments. This week, Higher Spanish had a go at some challenges and games in a pirate-themed carousel to get used to saying their answers and taking part in a conversation! π΄ββ οΈ πͺπΈ #WWHSModLangs

To celebrate World Book Day, some of our French classes found out about famous books and genres in French last week. We then talked about our own livre prΓ©fΓ©rΓ© and some of the differences in famous books, like Harry Potter, when theyβre translated #WWHSModLangs π
Some S2 classes have been learning about Chinese paper cutting. This week 2.7 made lots of different shapes by folding and cutting paper in different ways! We had everything from bulls to lanterns to butterflies! #WWHSModLangs
S3 French classes have been learning a lot about tenses recently. To consolidate their knowledge of the future tense, 3C1 took part in a very competitive future read and run! ππ»ββοΈππΌββοΈ #WWHSModLangs
S2 French pupils have been learning about Paris and what you can do there! This week 2.9 wrote a continuous story by adding a sentence then passing it back and finally after 5 passes reading the full piece in French. We had some great examples of creative writing βπΌ #WWHSModLangs
This week, to help our Higher French pupils prepare for their final talking assessment, we spent four full periods speaking exclusively in French. We played question Jenga, unpredictable dice rolls, this or that and talking tennis. Bien jouΓ© tout le monde! π«π· #WWHSModLangs
