#WaterWednesday talk: We all know by now it's critical that we work together to conserve water. But HOW do we take those first steps? Waiting to water is a big one. Let nature's sprinkler system do its thing. One average lawn watering uses 3,000 gallons of water ๐ฑ #wait2water
Drought continues to impact our state & some areas are implementing restrictions, so be sure to check with your local water provider. These weekly watering guides are posted at @UTAHSavesH2O's website on Thursdays: https://t.co/y7DncAJwXc #slowtheflow #wait2water #utah

#MondayMantra: Wait to water! Yes, last week's snowstorms were great (and this deer agrees with us). But they added less than an inch of water to our snowpack. ๐ฒ Disappointing โ we know. The best thing to do is conserve, conserve, conserve. Continue to #wait2water your yard.

Warmer weather in recent weeks had many of us getting out in the yard to prepare for spring. While it may seem like it's time to start watering, Utah Water Resources reminds us that we should #Wait2Water until temps are in the mid-70s for several consecutive days. #SlowTheFlow

Water conservation measures at all state facilities have been instituted by @GovCox. We hope others will also take action to reduce water use, including local governments, businesses and individuals/families. It takes all of us working together. #Wait2Water #SlowtheFLow
Due to dry conditions, we've issued an executive order that implements water conservation measures at all state facilities.
It also encourages local governments to do the same, urges a delay to the irrigation season, and asks Utahns to reduce water use.

Every time you #wait2water an estimated 3,000 gallons of water is saved. Thatโs based on an average quarter-acre lot size.

As a City, we pledge to join the #wait2water cause.
Our Parks and Water Departments have created an extensive plan to save water this summer. Among other first steps is to not water City lawns until May 1st at the absolute earliest and only if necessary.
Secondary water begins to be turned on today, but that doesnโt mean you should use it yet. #Wait2Water until the temps are in the upper-70s for several consecutive days. Save now so thereโs more to use when things really heat up. #SlowTheFlow #Drought

Many secondary water systems are being turned on starting today. But just because there is water in the canals and in the systems doesnโt mean we need to immediately use it. #Wait2Water until the temps are in the upper-70s for several consecutive days. #SlowtheFlow

@GovCox has issued an Executive Order declaring a state of emergency due to drought conditions. Below-average snowpack & extremely dry soils will likely result in well-below normal runoff, making conservation more critical than ever. https://t.co/viVM6jbfJ5
