morning with a Bill sitting in the State Capital
to ensure that First Responders in our great
State have help dealing with PTSD; it's a very real issue that deserves our support
and acknowledgment.
Over 100 professional firefighters from around TN participated in the last leg of the #WalkforDustin this morning. Thanks to legislators who joined us this morning to support our mission for PTSD presumption.
Our professional firefighters risk their lives to help others, and they do so without hesitation.
I was proud to join the @TPFFA1 this morning to celebrate the success of the #WalkForDustin.
It was an honor to stand on the Capitol Steps with the courageous Firefighters from all across Tennessee, especially our brothers from @Cleveland_TN who walked and supported the #WalkForDustin

#WALKFORDUSTIN: Two Cleveland firefighters are walking all the way from Cleveland to Nashville to help raise awareness for a first responder post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) bill.
The two will walk nearly 170 miles over the next 10 days:
They are walking in honor of Captain Dustin Samples, who took his own life in December 2020 as result of a long battle with PTSD.
It was our honor to escort these firefighters through our district today. We wish them well as they continue toward Nashville.
