Time doesn’t wait.
It doesn’t care if you’re tired.
It doesn’t care if you’re scared.
Every day, it moves forward.
So should you.

Meet the P900 floor tiler paving robot. It lays floor tiles faster than a human crew, doesn’t get tired, and doesn’t call in sick.
If this scales, a lot of floor tilers are about to feel the same pressure factory workers did decade or two ago.
Automation isn’t coming. It’s here.
we can do it. Africa must believe it and start pulling resources together through @AfCFTA and connect the continent as 1-rail,road,visa-free travel, etc
Its DOABLE!

@KwekuOA Africa needs a Big Push. Leaders of indiv. xtries may be reluctant to cede power to a super-national continental authority, but big infrastructural projects like high-speed rail criss-crossing the continent, and moving large volumes of pple & goods, might be a catalytic 4 unity.
so @NAkuffoAddoo ..hmmm rather crushed our livelihoods with killer policies etc ....@Ghfixthecountry The #BigPush can work if we are dedicated and intentional like Asian tigers of 50s,60s,70s @KoreanTravel @MOFA_Taiwan

What is the Big Push?
Well, Paul Rosenstein-Rodan's "Big Push" theory is a 1943 model of economic development that argues underdeveloped countries require a large, synchronized investment across multiple sectors to initiate economic growth.
The theory posits that isolated, small-scale investments are ineffective because they don't overcome market failures, and only a critical mass of coordinated investment can trigger a chain reaction of growth through "external economies".
Large-scale investment: A significant, coordinated investment across many industries is needed at once, rather than a gradual, sector-by-sector approach.
Overcoming market failures: The theory suggests that private investments may not be profitable on their own, but become so when considered within a larger, planned industrialization effort.
"External economies": The model emphasizes how the development of one industry can create positive spillover effects and growth opportunities for others, a phenomenon Rosenstein-Rodan called "external economies".
Critical minimum effort: A minimum level of investment, such as 10% of national income, is necessary to escape a low-level equilibrium trap and achieve sustainable growth.
The theory implies that governments should take a leading role in planning and coordinating these large-scale investments to ensure they happen simultaneously across different sectors.
What are some examples? The post-World War II Marshall Plan in Europe, the Nkrumah era in Ghana, and the rapid industrialization of South Korea and Taiwan, are but a few illustrations that broadly apply with the logic. Botswana is a more recent example often discussed in the context of the theory's adoption. It successfully used a large influx of external funding after independence in the 1960s to establish an environment conducive to private investment and sustained economic development at the time.
