Cal just fired their men’s head basketball coach the day after their final loss of a historically bad season. Just sayin’. #WeWereGeorgetown #SaveGeorgetownBasketball #WhatAreYouWaitingFor #FireEwing
Countdown on… ~10pm ET Wed, March 8, Villanova will again end @CoachEwing33’s college basketball career. Then next countdown will begin… for @Georgetown to #FireEwing. Can’t wait. 🍿🔥🏀 #WeWereGeorgetown #SaveGeorgetownBasketball #HoyaSaxa
We are the joke. Down 30 through 13.5 minutes. What the NCAA record for halftime deficit? 50? 60? We’re on our way! #WeWereGeorgetown #SaveGeorgetownBasketball #FireEwing @HoyasAD @CoachEwing33 @GeorgetownHoops @Georgetown
Is this a joke? This has to be a joke.
A sad, fitting end to the final home game of Patrick Ewing’s head coaching career. #WeWereGeorgetown #SaveGeorgetownBasketball #FireEwing
Dear God, it looks like @GeorgetownHoyas gave out teal shirts to the student section… SMH 🙄 Our school colors are blue and gray, not white or teal. At the very least, let’s dress accordingly. Is that too much to ask? #WeWereGeorgetown #SaveGeorgetownBasketball
Burn the teal jerseys, and the white ones too for that matter. They make my eyes bleed and hurt me on the inside. Classic navy blues and grays are 1000% better and warm my soul. If we’re gonna play like shit, might as well look decent. #WeWereGeorgetown #SaveGeorgetownBasketball
74-100 (.422) under @CoachEwing33.
1 @BIGEASTMBB win in 23 months! It cannot go on @HoyasAD
@GeorgetownHoops on life support. 🆘
Please 🙏 bring this ruinous 6-year experiment to an end now!

"Finally we got one…I've won pretty much everywhere that I've been, so losing's not something I'm familiar with. It's all about getting up when you get knocked down"
–Patrick Ewing as Georgetown ends a 29-game Big East losing streak w/ a win over DePaul
Thanks, @thehoya, for this well thought out article. Nice to hear the student perspectives. What’s more, this doesn’t even include the team’s abysmal academic rating under his tenure. #FireEwing now, and let’s #SaveGeorgetownBasketball. #WeWereGeorgetown
Two Georgetown students dove into the failures of GU men's basketball to figure out what is causing its disastrous 27-game losing streak. The (unsurprising) answer? A whole lot.
Take a look at my and @Saar__Shah's feature for @thehoya:

Yeah, but they covered the 2H spread today and that normally doesn't happen #WeWereGeorgetown
685 days since Georgetown won a regular season game in the Big East. Six hundred and eighty five.
I never publicly advocated for JT3’s firing, though towards the end of his last season I knew it was time. I felt uncomfortable advocating for Ewing’s dismissal until recently. But 0-27 speaks for itself. Let’s get #FireEwing trending. #WeWereGeorgetown #SaveGeorgetownBasketball
Every nanosecond Ewing is kept as head coach after losing 27 straight Big East games is a crime against reason and an insult to our intelligence. Administration, what in God’s name are you waiting for? Do your job. Save us all. #WeWereGeorgetown #SaveGeorgetownBasketball
Today would also be a great day to relieve Patrick Ewing of his head coaching duties. #WeWereGeorgetown #SaveGeorgetownBasketball
So predictable or the Ewing era: a decent first half, maybe even hold a lead, then completely fall apart and melt down / get blown out in the 2nd half. 26 straight Big East losses. It’s beyond time. #WeWereGeorgetown #SaveGeorgetownBasketball
#Hoyas up 2 at half, shooting well (eFG 59.5%), and they're down 18 at 2H U8. Pretty amazing accomplishment. #WeWereGeorgetown
Today would be a great day to relieve Patrick Ewing of his head coaching duties. #WeWereGeorgetown #SaveGeorgetownBasketball
25 straight Big East losses. A new record and a new low for @GeorgetownHoops. Ewing, please resign or be fired ASAP. #WeWereGeorgetown
If the time for change isn't now, when might it possibly ever be time for change? #WeWereGeorgetown
Final: Butler 80, Georgetown 51
The Hoyas (5-10, 0-4) have lost 24 straight regular season Big East games, tying the conference record previously held by DePaul (twice).
Butler (9-6, 1-3) had lost it's first 3 league games by 20+.
