This surveillance photo shows 14-year-old Noah Donohoe from Belfast on the day he went missing on June 21, 2020, while heading to meet friends. Six days later, his body was discovered in a storm drain in north Belfast, with a post-mortem confirming drowning as the cause of death. Police suggested Noah may have suffered a head injury after falling off his bike near North Queen Street and York Street. At an inquest review, Brenda Campbell KC, representing Noah Donohoe's mother, revealed that an expert found an image of a hand on Noah's phone, taken at 6:50 p.m. on the evening he disappeared. Given Noah's movements, she suggested it likely wasn't Noah's hand. Campbell questioned the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) about their knowledge of the photo and who had possession of the phone at that time. The PSNI's barrister, Donal Lunny KC, promised to investigate. A full inquest is set for February 3, 2025, with a case review scheduled for November 14.
