Yesterday, we had a truly inspiring visitor at the Panasonic India office — Nozomu Hagihara (@HagiharaNozomu).

Nozomu is in the process of completing what most would deem impossible: dribbling a football over 2000 km — from Kolkata to New Delhi — at a pace of 14 km per hour covering over 40-50 kms per day, with his longest stretch in a single day touching 100 km. An act of sheer determination and the desire to redefine what’s possible. He has already completed 1700 km on his way to Delhi when he dropped in at our offices to meet us.
Nozomu came to Bihar in 2020, where he witnessed firsthand how children face challenges like malnutrition, poverty, and more. With football for inclusion in mind, he started FC Nono, which has already inspired many children to take a shot at a better future. His dribble across India takes this journey forward, to inspire more children to defy all odds and aim for victory.
I’m sure his story has already inspired many at our Panasonic office too. Congratulations, Nozomu, on this incredible feat. I wish you the very best as you continue to ignite dreams and create opportunities. The work you’re doing for society is something we’re all proud of.
