"Lucknow -SCR & Ayodhya" - Emerging Economic Growth Center of Gangetic Plains
The distance between 2 Metropolis of Delhi & Kolkata is around 1600 Kms. And the colossal area between these big cities, that is colloquially also called Gangetic Plains, has a huge gap of any big economic center, as of today.
Except, now, this gap seems to be filling.
Lucknow & its surrounding area, that is now conceptualized as "Uttar Pradesh State Capital Region (UPSCR)" along with the Ayodhya Dham, that has become the ultimate spiritual center of millions of Hindus all over the world, have arisen to be the worthy aspirants to bridge this gap.
And what makes me say that ?
The reason is the unprecedent development and the economic growth, this region has been witnessing over the last decade.
If we only talk about "Lucknow itself". The city has emerged as a leading tier 2 city, brimming with all the chances to break into the coveted tier 1 group, if governments and authorities play their cards effectively in next 4-5 years.
Lets have a look at the major advantages that Lucknow has to offer -
1- Network of World Class Expressway - With the functional Agra-LKO, Purvanchal Expressway, and upcoming LKO-Kanpur expressway, Link Expressway & Gorakhpur -Shamli expressway, city enjoys seamless connectivity to almost every major city in each direction.
2- Outer Ring Road - Lucknow Ring Road is already bustling and now the Outer ring road has been inaugurated. Outer Most Ring Road is in the planning. Shaheed Path , a 23 KM stretch along Ring Road, is where New Lucknow- a Modern City has taken shape. And Now Kisan Path on Outer Ring Road is ready to take this mantle ahead.
3- International Stadium & Other Sports Facilities -
City has a 120 acres modern sports center called Ekana Sports City. Along with the 55000 Capacity Cricket Stadium, the facility also provides infra for other sports such as football, tennis, squash etc. as well.
Other than Ekana, KD Singh Baba Stadium is receiving the major infra revamp to cater to all the indoor, swimming & other sports. Then there is Guru Govind Singh Sports College with a Hockey Stadium. Babu Banarasi Das Badminton court & a shooting range among the notable sports facilities.
4- IPL team -
Ekana stadium is the Home Ground of IPL Team - Lucknow Super Giants. Owning an IPL team has boosted the hospitality and travel industries in the city like never before.
5- Flourishing Hotel Industry -
Hotels from all the big chains (Marriott, Hyatt, Taj, Hilton, Ramada, Holiday Inn, Novatel, ITC, IHG, Wyndham etc) are already present in the city. Lucknow already has around 13-15 five stars hotels. And Number is ever increasing, as so many new hotels are already in pipeline.

Lucknow is one of the few cities in India that has Metro connectivity from Airport to City Center. The route also connects to the railway station Charbagh, major bus terminal at Alambagh & offcourse Hazratganj. Ridership is increasing. Government has approved the much needed Phase 2 of the project as well.

City has a presence of series of Shopping mall. Notable ones are biggest Lulu Mall, posh Phoenix Pallasio, Phoenix United, Saharaganj, Fun Republic, Riverside, Wave, Emerald, Crown etc. And many more are in pipeline including the tallest mall - Ekana.
8- Central Business Districts (CBD) -
Host of new commercial buildings and towers are coming up. Vibhutikhand and Hazratganj are the existing central business district. CG City and GolfCity are upcoming business districts of the city.
9- New airport terminal- T3 -
The T3 terminal has been inaugurated recently. The visuals of the airport has wowed everyone alike. The terminal is significantly bigger in the capacity. And is set to increase the international connectivity of the city. Cargo terminal is also functional. Not only this, Adani has already laid out plans for T4 terminal for the city.
Lucknow Airport is touted as the "Gateway to Uttar Pradesh".

Manufacturing sector in the city is surely set to take off with several big ticket upcoming projects. Noteworthy among them are EV Automobile Manufacturing Unit from Ashok Leyland, 1000 Acres Mega Textile park & Medical Device Park.

Lucknow is the important node of the Uttar Pradesh's ambitious project Defense Corridor. As part of this corridor Brahmos Missiles Manufacturing Unit along with DRDO Research Lab are being set up in Lucknow.
12- Railways Infrastructure -
A world class railway station at Gomtinagar has been inaugurated and Charbagh Railway Station is redeveloped at a large scale. Additionally 7 peripheral railway stations are also being developed to support the railway transportation.

Lucknow has modern bus terminals at Alambagh & Kamta. 3 more bus terminals are coming up at VibhutiKhand, Amausi & Charbagh.

Government is Positioning Lucknow as Artificial Intelligence City. For this, government is setting up 40 acres AI City in the Amausi area near the airport.

Who doesn't know the Chikankari & Zardozi handicrafts of the city. Lucknow exports these works to all over the world.

If you ever get the chance to visit the city, I am sure, you will be pleasantly surprised to see the transformation, our charming city, has undergone.
Lucknow is firmly putting it's foot forward to become top tier city of the region.
There is ONE MAJOR AREA which needs more focus from the Government, & that is IT and Innovation Centers. This is the need of hour for the city that IT & ITES companies should set up their base in Lucknow.
We firmly believe in the growth story that Lucknow - SCR and Ayodhya are writing together. And India is witnessing it as well. We have come a long way from being called as the land of crimes to being revered as the land of Rama. Now UP has become the state where everyone willing to visit. The days are not far when we see the state as the economic power center of New India.
