One of Red's favourite places to visit is where I'm competing on Saturday, the Central Brecon Beacons.
Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) National Park is a stunning national park in South and Mid Wales, UK, covering about 520 square miles (1,344 km²).
The iconic central mountain range within the park that gives the whole area its name.
Highest peaks: This area includes
Pen y Fan (886 m / 2,907 ft, the highest point in southern Britain),
Corn Du (873 m),
Cribyn (795 m),
Fan y Bîg (719 m), and others.
These flat-topped mountains offer dramatic ridges, steep drops, and panoramic views.
Rolling moorland, grassy slopes, glacial valleys, reservoirs, and limestone features. It's part of the larger park that also includes the Black Mountains (east), Fforest Fawr, and Black Mountain (west).
The park is an International Dark Sky Reserve, excellent for stargazing due to low light pollution.

Big Red's favourite non spicy treat, so simple to make that it's often the first thing children learn to make, with individual recipes handed down through families.
