#WetFilament and #stringing issues are exactly why we support agents always ask: "Does the purged filament drop straight down, or is it curling and bubbling?" 🧐 During the more humid parts of the year, many filaments (FLEX, PETG, CF composites, and natural-based materials like woodfills) absorb too much moisture from the air. You can see the result in the short video I created with #Gemini. Trapped moisture expands and turns into steam during extrusion, causing pressure build-ups, oozing, and stringing. Do yourself a favor and get a filament dryer! Most of us don't need anything fancy, and you can even build one yourself. 🛠️ Not sure if moisture is your issue? (Besides opening a live chat with us, of course): Test a fresh spool: Try printing with a brand-new, vacuum-sealed spool of the same material to see if the issue persists. Tweak your settings: Try reducing the nozzle temperature or adjusting your speed and retractions. Printing a temperature tower is a great way to find the perfect values for your specific printer and filament combo. Inspect the hardware: Check your nozzle for physical damage. Even a tiny dent or wear on the tip can actually cause heavy stringing!
