🗣️I didn't realize how much of a physical threat Caryma's videographer, Lee, truly is. There are legal avenues to uncover his identity, and since Caryma is a lawyer, she will be obligated to follow a court order to disclose who he is should a Norwich application be made. A Norwich order is a type of court order in Canada that compels a third party to disclose information or documents that may assist in the identification of a defendant in a legal proceeding. Named after the case Norwich Pharmacal Co. v. Customs and Excise Commissioners, this order is typically sought in cases where the plaintiff has been wronged but cannot identify the party responsible for the wrongdoing. The key characteristics of a Norwich order include: 1. Third-Party Disclosure: It is directed at a third party who might have information relevant to identifying the defendant, such as internet service providers or other entities that may hold pertinent records. 2. No Need for a Full Claim: A Norwich order can be sought before a formal claim is filed, allowing a plaintiff to gather necessary information to proceed with their case. 3. Balancing Interests: Courts will assess the need for disclosure against the privacy interests of the third party and the potential harm that may arise from disclosing the information.
