After 8 years, Bill C-49 is another step in a long line of Liberal anti-energy laws and policies that will drive investment out of Canada with more uncertainty, red tape, and extended and costly timelines. The Liberal Minister of Natural Resources is confident Bill C-49 can go forward as is, even though Atlantic Canadians say in Committee there hasn't been enough consultation with everyone impacted. Impacted Nova Scotians and Newfoundlanders and Labradorians say C-49 is rushed and fundamentally flawed. The NDP-Liberals need to listen to the workers and communities that want to be heard on Bill C-49 and fix this fundamentally flawed bill. Conservatives will fight for the interests of these workers and communities as we review this bill at clause by clause in Natural Resource Committee today.
