@AgeOfEmpires #Win98SE is still my favorite all time OS. #AoE is still my favorite game of its kind. I'll never forget finding the Demo hidden I'm a remote folder in the Windows disc.

I LOVE #Mechwarrior 2 so much, but making it run properly on #Win98SE, has been a pain! When the CD music was playing the fps was around 1. BUT I realized that I have to play it with the real CD and not just an ISO and daemon tools! Now it works!😎 #retrogaming

Hey #Microsoft|@Microsoft! If you miss #WinXP so much, why you don‘t support it anymore? There‘s a large #vintage|#retro community that would even pay for #SecurityUpdates|#SecurityPatches, same with #Win2k, #Win9x (aka #Win95, #Win98, #Win98SE, #WinME), #WinNT4 etc. - go for it!

So, this is Skeleton. It's a 2003 #IBM a50 case/mobo that I found on the side of the road a few years back. it was in terrible shape when I found it so it got a new beige paint job and a fresh install of #win98se. Case and mobo are stock, but everything else I customized. Specs:

Confession: I rather liked #Win98SE and NT 3.51 SP1 - they mostly worked well enough and didn't excessively overload the CPU with crud.

Simple wooden test-setup: A fixed #gigabyte GA-8ST667 Rev: 3.0 with an #intel P4-Northwood 3.06G (HT) and a #3dfx Voodoo3 2000 AGP. For #Win98SE and #WinXP. At the moment everything is working fine. No smoke and no fire 👍.
