A union *mandating* that even people like me or performers living with HIV, that “we’d HAVE to ask co-performers their HIV status” is not only invasive but supports a dangerous over-reliance on what sexual partners KNOW. This ignores #WindowPeriods of tests & that #UequalsU 3/4
For example I am on #PrEP so honestly what POINT is their me demanding-asking a co-performer say their HIV status? I get protection regardless! & those I’d be most at “risk” from wouldn’t know they acquired it, it would be too recent to show on tests yet, cos #windowperiods 2/4

By your definition, because of HIV test #WindowPeriods you cannot *know* if the co-performer has acquired HIV so recently it would not show on their test.

Folk don't make informed consent, knowing HIV acquisition chances in sex with those holding a Negative result;
YET system punishes those with least acquisition chance from (folk living with HIV with undetectable VL)
If you have tested and the results are negative, please consider no #sex or use #condoms until you retest outside the #windowperiods #reduce #stis. Always ask your sexual partners to test and retest 😉
Do you know what a window period is?
Each STI has an amount of time before it will show up in a test.
Chlamydia/gonorrhoea: 2 weeks
Syphilis: 12 weeks
HIV: 4 to 12 weeks
If you get tested before then there's a chance that your results will be inaccurate!

It’s dangerous for society to *expect* a sexual partner to be ABLE to communicate a true HIV negative status to another person…
Particularly in belief that that is some HIV prevention strategy…
