Update: went ahead and uninstalled RAV. #WindowsDefender took back over immediately and now I can see all the settings from @NetworkChuck's #WindowsFundamentals video. Honestly feels more transparent having one AV in control instead of a third-party tool silently overriding it. #Cybersecurity #InfoSec

His #WindowsDefender looked completely different from mine. I was missing half the settings he was showing. 🫤
After digging into it, I found out that RAV Endpoint Protection, which came pre-installed on my laptop, was taking over some of the antivirus functions and hiding the Defender options.
The suggested “fix”? Uninstall RAV.
And now I'm sitting here thinking:
So you want me to uninstall my laptop’s line of defence just to follow a tutorial? 🫤
