Rapamycin, a mTOR inhibitor, is currently the most promising longevity compound that has been discovered. In January this year the Rapamycin Longevity Lab discovered, thanks to Ora Biomedical's wormbot technology, a new interesting mTOR inhibitor called GSK2126458. Also known as Omipalisib. It showed very good lifespan effects in worms. Now it’s time to take the next big step in the field and screen over 500 mTOR inhibitors. The purpose with this is to try to find even better longevity compounds than Rapamycin. In this project we will in a high-efficient and very cost-effective way deliver a big magnitude of unique data around mTOR inhibitors. This is important longevity data which no one else has delivered to the research field before. It’s a first step to take mTOR inhibitors to the next level.
