WrapVision vs Axon: How Wrap Can Win a Slice of DHS’s Body-Camera Rollout
Police1 just did the useful thing: it treated the Minneapolis move as more than a headline and more like what it really is—a procurement trigger.
Department of Homeland Security says every DHS officer deployed to Minneapolis (including Immigration and Customs Enforcement) will be issued a body-worn camera immediately, and the program will expand nationwide “as funding becomes available.” The same reporting thread points to a concrete accelerant: an additional $20 million for ICE/CBP body cameras included in a bipartisan Senate-approved funding package.
That creates a very specific chessboard for WrapVision vs Axon—and it has two phases.

12–24 months: expand laterally (not vertically into “platform sprawl”)
