Another point from #x401 is that exposing the request payload does not necessarily expose private data—it describes what the verifier wants, not the holder's credentials. 🎯 That separation also exists in #GCScript DSL Public intent logic can remain static, reusable, transparent and auditable, while anything requiring additional privacy can be carried as encrypted data (or encrypted code fragments) and decrypted only client-side by the user wallet. Just like #UDC, #x401 is carrying a base64url-encoded JSON payload instead of dozens of individual header parameters. The rationale is simple: • one transport object • one decode step • one schema validation • fewer parsing and escaping edge cases • future-ready: upgrades self-contained to the object That is the same engineering trade-off behind UDC's transport of #GCScript DSL payloads: package structured intent as a single portable object rather than fragmenting it across protocol fields. In comparison #CIP30 fragments everything into multiple features that are very hard to upgrade in time. Doing so forces the entire ecosystem to individually adopt a cascade of patching CIPs introducing several interoperability issues.

You're mixing up three totally different layers of this stack. ERC-8004 is not equal to x401 , x401 is not equal to x402 They each solve different problems buddy ERC-8004 is Identity & Reputation (On-chain) so lets break it down as : Who is this agent? What’s their long-term trust history? Are they verified and reputable? Permanent, public, decentralized identity layer. x401 is Authentication & Access Control (HTTP) while x401 is like : Can this agent call this API endpoint right now? Zero blockchain dependency. Lightweight signature based auth for instant access control. it's about access permissions. x402 Payments (HTTP) Purely about crypto payments via http semantics buddy It lets agents send or receive crypto instantly. Built by Coinbase specifically for payments. These are complementary, not competing. If x401 solved everything then Coinbase wouldn’t have built x402. If x402 solved identity , ERC-8004 wouldn’t exist. And if ERC-8004 handled access control, x401 wouldn’t be needed. And Velocity is not all about x401 , we are developing it as an infrastructure layer beyond these http semantics
