#YaleAtClimateWeek 🌎 In parts of Bangladesh, rising sea levels are creating a water crisis for millions of people and groundwater salinity threatens rice crop cultivation and agriculture jobs. “When water gets too salty, rice is not as productive. But it’s also leading to some human problems like a lack of access to drinking water," said Mushfiq Mobarak, professor of economics and management at Yale. "We need to rise to that challenge," said Mobarak, who explores ways to inspire people in developing countries to adopt technologies or behaviors that could help. Mobarak participated in a panel discussion at Yale @ Climate Week NYC on Thursday.
