So glad you enjoyed it!
#Yaniewicz's travels took him to Vienna and Italy before Paris, and the collapse of the Polish-Lithuanian commonwealth was not complete until 1795, but it was indeed a turbulent time. More on his story at https://t.co/cPN11HBjyE

A true pleasure to listen to a recital celebrating Felix Yaniewicz (1762-1848), a Polish-Lithuanian violinist and composer. Yaniewicz moved away to Paris when his homeland was annexed by Russia, then he had to flee the French Revolution, eventually settling in the UK.

Heartfelt thanks @LTEMBASSYUK @PLInst_London for hosting and supporting last night's #Yaniewicz concert marking #700Vilnius anniversary. Splendid performances from @devinemusicman, Kate Semmens & Tabitha Appel and such warmth from our lovely 🇱🇹🇵🇱 audience!
