There are 4 provinces which are back at pre-COVID levels of turnover. All other provinces are now above 80% of pre-COVID levels, with the Western Cape lagging behind at 70%

Total turnover during Level 2 did not shift significantly, driven by:
- The negative impact of loadshedding
- Flat turnover in the Health/Beauty & Retail industries over the last 2 weeks, as they struggle with ongoing reduced footfall and consumer spending

As expected, the biggest impact has been in the hospitality industry. Turnover has increased by 18% since Level 2, and is back at 76% of pre-COVID levels.

The increase was due to a spike in turnover for the Health & Beauty industry, driven by hairdressers, barbers and spas.
In one week this sector increased from 40% to 70% of pre-COVID levels, as regulation allowed re-opening for the first time since March #YocoSmallBizRecovery
