Last night, #YoungMusiciansProject won the Special Award for Youth Achievement at #NECultureAwards 💥
It is SO special for YMP to be recognised amongst so many other amazing artists, projects &events in the region. We’re hugely proud of the work we do & the impact it has.
The super-talented Lily Mac will be playing at the preview of @NGCAsunderland 's new exhibition, The Skin We Live In, on Thursday. The event runs from 6pm-7.30pm.

One of the reasons we prioritise original song writing is that it has real power to support young people to express and process their feelings and experiences.
This is such great research from @YouthMusic .
🚨 73% of the young people we recently surveyed told us that lyrics enable them to process feelings & emotions.
But with struggling NHS mental health services, spaces where they can communicate freely are more important than ever.
