The juxtaposition of these two stories in @NewsDayZimbabwe today is an alarming indictment regarding the state of our Nation #Zimbabwe at the end of 2023.
How can we as a Nation accept MPs demanding luxury Toyota Land Cruiser vehicles when our national mental health referral hospital Ingutsheni has not had basic antipsychotic medication for over a year? This medication costs about US$ 300,000 per annum - the equivalent of 5 Toyota vehicles and less than the US$ 400,000 housing loan each Judge was offered this year.
We have lost our way #Zimbabwe. Our moral compass is totally skewed. And every MP, every Judge, every senior Government official who participates in this outrage is equally culpable, irrespective of which party they support or represent.
We need to change direction urgently.

What I find difficult to understand is the level of denialism on the part of state actors, in the face of the wanton political violence, not to mention a state which since independence treats any opposition factor as an enemy. This has to stop!
