I'm happy to share that #AB1805 was approved earlier this month! This bill ensures that Mendez v. Westminster is incorporated in Californial curriculum moving forward. Many thanks to @TriTa4CA and the Mendez sisters for their leadership on this issue. https://t.co/vA0vR4mPJE

Legislative Update: Today, three of my bills passed out of Assembly Appropriations and now move to the Assembly Floor, #AB1805, #AB2122, and #AB1796 which will support small businesses and students as we recover from the COVID pandemic.

But remedial classes are not the solution for struggling students. We can’t use a rhetoric of student “choice” to maintain ineffective, inequitable structures. We must listen to student leaders who urge us to support #AB1805 @SSCCC_Official @SMAC_CCSF (10/10)

This is how the system of power tries to reassert itself. "Quiet" advice against access ensures inequity and subversively undermines implementation results. Don't listen to that advice! You have the RIGHT to transfer-level #AB1805

Apparently , counselors hate #AB705. Spoke to a walk -in counselor to give me clearance for a Stats and said ,” How do you know about AB705? Are you sure about ? You’re might not pass .” He tried to discouraged me from doing so . I am on the road to finishing , sir.

#AB1805 was signed yesterday, ensuring transparency for community college students in how they are placed into courses. The result will be more students on the fast path to completing degrees, and into skilled jobs in our community! #caleg @CalCommColleges
