The Gavin administration passed #SB107 that allows children from all over the world to come to California for “gender affirming care” and if a parent refuses to “affirm” their 12 year old, that child can leave home under #AB665 and check into a residential shelter without parental consent. If they decide to medicalize, they can do so under medical-cal.

NO ONE needs to "hear from" Scott Wiener. His radical, dangerous legislation speaks for itself: emancipate children (#AB665), protect sexual predators (#SB145), allow schools to keep secrets from parents (#AB1955), more forced LGBTQ training of teachers (#AB5), keep porn & sexualized material in school libraries (#AB1078); quadruple the taxes on inheritances & make it impossible for seniors to give family property to kids (#Prop19); let your neighbor build an 8-unit ADU right next door to you (#SB9); kill independent contracting and gig work throughout California and impoverish millions of self-employed professionals (#repealAB5).
What we need to hear from Wiener are the words: "I'm sorry" and "I'll repeal that." 😡 We never will. Instead, ELECT @yvettecorkrean!
What's *really* gross are the laws Wiener creates and supports. Here's just a dirty half-dozen:
1. Emancipated 12-year-olds to run away out of parents' custody with the help of an unrelated adult (#AB665);
2. Allowed unrelated adults to change a child's name and sex marker on a birth certificate and then seal the record from public view (#AB223);
3. Stopped Republicans' effort to help disabled, elderly, and BIPOC families, among others, by k!lling the repeal of the devastating property death tax in Prop. 19 (#SC4 by @SenatorSeyarto);
4. Supported the TQ Caucus' hostile amendment of SB1414 to *exclude* 16- and 17-year-olds from being considered minors when prosecuting the adults who buy girls and boys for sex (#SB1414 by @ShannonGroveCA);
5. Spearheaded first law in America to prohibit school districts from requiring honesty with parents from teachers & staff about the school's participation in "socially transitioning" a minor child--treating her or him as the opposite sex--without a parent's knowledge or consent (#AB1955), and also to allow teachers to conduct secret conversations with minor children about sexuality and gender and escape discipline for it;
6. Oh, and don't forget, Wiener voted to BAN VOTER ID. Even though Wiener's a lawyer and should know better, he still voted YES for the 100% unconstitutional #SB1174, fellow lawyer-senator Dave Min's new law to BAN VOTER ID. Not just "not require it in California" but to ban it outright.
No wonder he couldn't think of anything to write.

It’s important to note that this law applied to individuals with an ITIN tax ID who contribute to California’s general fund. These are tax paying Californians whose taxes fund the program.
Let’s not get it twisted and feed a anti-immigrant narrative that is divisive and harmful.

#AB665 made it legal for any 12 yo to run away from home and move into a gov “residential shelter” for any reason wo notice to their parents, let alone their consent. [Before, children could only leave if there were allegations of abuse, incest or danger. Scott + Asm Wendy Carrillo (neither of whom have children, you have GOT to check her out) removed those requirements or “guardrails” that insured only the most at-risk children could be removed from their homes wo full due process of law to their parents].
#AB223 c/o Chris made it so that ANY adult – not just parent, grandparent, guardian, etc. – can take ANY child to change their name, gender or sex identifier CONFIDENTIALLY. That’s it. That’s the bill. 🤯

A day that should live in infamy: #AB665 is now effective, the law by Asm Wendy Carrillo that emancipates all California children at age 12 to leave their home & check into residential shelter, with the help of a "trusted" adult...for literally no reason. AB665 erased 45 years of "danger guardrails" in Family Code 6924 protecting parents' rights to NOT have their child removed from their custody on the child's consent alone, unless there was a showing of danger to the child. Wendy Carrillo & the AB665 proponents LIED repeatedly & insisted it was merely about "insurance equity." If it really were, Wendy, then why is there NO MENTION of it on your website? AB665 removes the due process requirement of proof of abuse or neglect to remove parental rights & emancipate a child out of the family home.
Under AB665, children 12+ can leave home...under any circumstance... to stay at a residential shelter facility with secret help from adults at school & private/public services.
Now Newsom has AB1955 on his desk to sign or veto, which would force schools to lie to or hide from parents the active social transitioning of their children with gender dysphoria.

I would much rather hear Wendy Carrillo atone for her evil #AB665 by seeking its repeal than about her self-absorbed road to sobriety. Was she drunk when she agreed to sponsor that law for Scott Wiener, which emancipated her constituents' little 12-year-olds to run away and check themselves into state care? Was she drunk when she repeatedly told everyone that AB665 was all about 'insurance equity' and not really about gutting 45 years of critical custody protections for parents? Was she drinking before the hearing of AB665, in which she, the "author," couldn't even explain its provisions, and repeatedly deferred to some unelected hack witness? Was she drinking when I politely asked her in the Swing Building if she could please explain the public policy behind the bill, and she snarled at me to get away from her or she'd have security escort me out? #AB1955 will create distrust + drive a wedge bw parents + children by allowing them to live a lie while at school that everyone knows except the parent, and principal co-author @Scott_Wiener's #AB665 "government residential shelters" will be ready 1/1/2025 to house all of them. Once the child "runs away" to one of these shelters enough times -- or CPS the parents are "emotionally and psychologically abusive" for insisting on getting the care their child needs (vs. automatically affirming them) (like Abigail Martinez) -- parental rights will be terminated + the child will become a ward of the state. /2

They tried and succeeded in California #AB957 removes custody from parents who don’t affirm their child’s gender identity. #Ab665 allows children 12+ to run away from home and the state will house them with no parental notification required. #SB107 creates California as a sanctuary state for “trans kids” and will allow the court to take custody of the child for “gender affirming care” and will not honor other states custody orders. All passed except for 957 but we can expect it to show up again
