After late night #BBNJ negotiations for the #ABMT section including #MPAs, delegates have 2 days left. This could be a powerful legally binding agreement. CBD & 30x30 goals rely on this! Fishing industry interests have to take a backseat to protect high seas biodiversity

[#BBNJ LIVE🔴] For a Party to present an objection (opt-out) to an #ABMT, it should notify the Secretariat and present the explanations of the grounds for its objection. The acceptable reasons for accepting the opt-out of the objecting Party are still under discussion.
