The NYPD SBA is proud to support NYS Assemblyman @SamForNYC in his re-election to #AD63. He has continually fought for a #CommonSense agenda in Albany that is focused on restoring public safety to NYC and supporting our law enforcement.

California isn't just expensive it's unaffordable for too many families. We have to do better!
We cottinue to fight for relief and affordability!

Why are gas prices in California so much higher than the rest of the country⁉️
➡️ About $25 more every fill-up
➡️ About $1,350 more every year
I co-authored AB 1745 to suspend the gas tax to give #RiversideCounty families relief at the gas⛽️

This week, my Capitol and District team and I have been hard at work, meeting with the County of Riverside and cities across Assembly District 63 to discuss local priorities, challenges, and opportunities for collaboration. 🤝

Congratulations to Lake Elsinore councilwoman and the newest California Assemblymember, Natasha Johnson!!!
Filling for Bill Essayli's #AD63 Natasha is going to do a great job because she puts California families FIRST!

JUST IN: The first results in the #AD63 special election runoff for the open Bill Essayli seat show Republican Lake Elsinore City Councilmember Natasha Johnson on track to win easily, outpolling Democrat Chris Shoults 54.2%/45.8% and by 4,489 votes.

15 minutes until polls close in the CA #AD63 special election runoff for the open Bill Essayli Assembly seat.
Per the Riverside County registrar, around 53,289 of the 320,395 ballots sent out have been returned so far.
Let’s go @Shoults4AD63! It was great knocking doors for Chris on Sunday to get out the vote for today's #AD63 special election.

Tomorrow we have a special election in California's #AD63, a Trump+13 seat in western Riverside County. This has been a pretty solidly Republican district in the Inland Empire, but the Democrats overperformed in the first round back in June.
Should still be a GOP hold though.

🚪🌞 Out in Corona today, knocking doors and building momentum for @Shoults4AD63! So many of our neighbors are ready for change. Every vote matters in this #AD63 special election—don’t forget to vote by August 26th!

Final results have been certified from the June 24th special election for the vacant Bill Essayli #AD63 Assembly seat, which heads to a $4 million August 26th runoff due to spoiler Republican Vincent Romo siphoning off enough votes to keep Lake Elsinore City Councilmember Natasha Johnson below 50%:
🟥46.15% Johnson
🟦44.12% Shoults
🟥8.43% Romo
🟪1.31% Consalvo

@AlexCVassar @cagreens1 @Rob_Richie @CAHispCaucus @KFIAM640 @rpyers @VanceUlrich @FlashReport @CAGOP @JeffHorseman California's failure to use ranked choice voting for special elections -- and instead using two round run-offs -- means that #AD63 will now unnecessarily go without representation for even longer, for another two months!

@AlexCVassar @cagreens1 @Rob_Richie Looks like #AD63 is going to run-off despite Republican & Libertarian candidates w/56.1%, which in a single RCV special election likely leads to Natasha Johnson winning outright https://t.co/gGYRXnar03 @CAHispCaucus @KFIAM640 @rpyers @VanceUlrich @FlashReport @CAGOP @JeffHorseman
Ok, ok. I've updated my various databases to push off the #AD63 special election to the August run-off date.
Don't worry; the fun facts that I had worked out will still be zesty and fresh when that late August rolls around.
So, based on what we've seen in recent Assembly special elections, we're looking at a likely >95% absentee ballot turnout in today's #AD63 special election (meaning that we'll have a really good idea what happened before Sacramento sunset at about 8:36 pm).
Vote-by-mail percentages in Assembly special elections:
AD32 Primary in 2/2025 = 97.66%
AD80 Primary in 4/2022 = 97.63%
AD62 Primary in 4/2022 = 96.20%
AD11 Primary in 4/2022 = 97.27%
AD17 Runoff in 4/2022 = 95.29%
AD17 Primary in 2/2022 = 93.41%
