@DIPadvocate17 There are access issues still, not every #pwd have that option, eg regional area, no alternative public clinic, cost of going to another private provider #adeachat

Last #adeachat for the year- it’s always same for me- #diabetes is all about self-management, find what works for you, get the support you need. Find the HCPs that are 💯 person-centered and willing to go to bat for you and always in your corner

@AusDiabetesEd My low hanging fruit pipe dream - if government would subsidise CGM for all #t1dm and insulin treated #t2dm and other secondary DMs eg cystic fibrosis. It’s low hanging fruit hopefully achievable with government #adeachat

@endoman @AusDiabetesEd some people worried going on pump then have to wear pump all the time- I always teach people option of going untethered eg. weekend away at the beach. should have back up injectable option anyway #adeachat

@endoman @AusDiabetesEd Pumps some can have some automated modes but by no means “automatic”, pump still runs quick acting insulin to provide the basal, so can still get erratic basal if pump related issues #adeachat

There are some programs and groups within the diabetes online community where you can access second hand insulin pumps or rebatteried CGMs etc. #ADEAchat
