People campaign, rightly, against the use of animals in drug testing, but it seems it is okay to conduct clinical trials on puberty blockers using 11 year children. Just stop and think about that for a moment. 11 year old children. Every Labour MP who voted for this today should be ashamed. This is child abuse.

They were so uninterested in the scandal of children being irreversibly harmed, they couldn’t even be bothered to write up the PA. Ever since Dame Cass gave her support to this GnRHA trial, it’s been a different story. Auto-approval and a front page spot. Her words do matter, but they’ve always mattered. ThIs isn’t a problem with the reporting here, which is fair (and includes Bayswater Support). It’s the transparency of the senior level volte face. Many of the underlying problems with BBC coverage have been merely painted over. There are two good correspondents 👇 in place right now, and some notably objective presenters. But the work hasn’t been spread out as it should be. There are activists still embedded in programme teams, and high profile presenters still under the influence of extreme activists. There’s been no fact-based staff training to counter years of indoctrination.
