There is a special cadre of Valkyries for the publishers who champion the weird and wonderful stories and under represented writers. They ride Hippopotamus's, their armour is prone to ink stains & the halls have excellent reading nooks, warm fires and blankets. #alternativefox

When setting out a summoning circle for an agent or publisher the correct tools are the ashes of your hopes and dreams, rather than chalk and a chalice of your tears. Alternatively coffee and snacks & a nice email could work. #alternativefox

We haven't done an #alternativefox in ages but I'm bored on a train so it's time... The correct sacrifice on a publishing alter is a 'red flag' book that someone you care about thinks is amazing literature, but is actually the reason you side eye them slightly.
