Amendment 74 is fucking terrible.
In conclusion, fuck #Amendment74 and fuck the oil and gas industry for pushing this bullshit. They can all go die in a hole.
You know what #Amendment74 will do for renters? Protect their landlord from regulations which mean they have to treat their renters well. Amendment 74 is about as anti-renter as it is anti-worker and anti-environment.
But, also, even if this was correct that #Amendment74 protects homeowners (which it isn't), it's still bullshit because it's trying to fearmonger about this to renters and renters do not own their home.
The reality is that #Amendment74 is about protecting big businesses, particularly the oil and gas industry, against things like safety standards, environmental protection, and worker protection. Those are things which reduce property value, unlike regulations which effect homes.
Secondly, #Amendment74 barely effects homeowners! All the amendment does is allow for property owners to sue the government if a regulation or tax, preexisting or new, reduces the value of their property, but regulations almost never do this to homes.
Check out this load of bullshit about #Amendment74. First of all, the government can't take your property without paying you a fair value for it. That's called eminent domain and has nothing to do with Amendment 74.
