I’m Sara (@sara_arfan), a PhD student @ICR_London funded by @Sarcoma_UK.
I focus on the molecular and immune characterisation of #angiosarcomas, one of the most aggressive #sarcomas, by using proteomics and transcriptomics to identify new drugs & biomarkers.
In this study, researchers queried the Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Result (SEER) database for incidences of both primary (PBA) and secondary (SBA) #breast #angiosarcomas between 1992 and 2016. The authors found that the incidence of SBA occurring after a primary breast cancer diagnosis increased 3-fold during the study period. These findings suggest that SBA risk is an important consideration in the shared decision making for treatment and management of primary breast cancer. https://t.co/MVoEZUGYsK
