The Revolutionary War was fought to escape the theocratic, fascist tyranny of the British Empire when America was ruled by the Church of England. The Constitution was designed to create a secular, antifascist government to protect us from returning to that oppression on purpose. But the traitors conspiring with our enemies want to take us back. They want a return to a formal separation between the “elites” and the peasants, the royals and the heathens — a separation that cannot be voted out. “Christian nationalism” portrays a fantasy in which we not only return to theocracy, but believers become the ruling elites that ultimately ascend to Heaven, leaving the rest of us, the unclean, multicultural masses behind. This is the reason the first ten words of the Bill of Rights guarantee freedom FROM religion. Because the Founders knew the danger weaponized magical thinking poses from experience. England, still, is technically a theocracy. Christianity must come to grips with its purpose. Will it become a way for people to express their spirituality, or will it become a weapon used to activate people into fighting a “spiritual war” for the most godless, soulless people in the world?
