@TonyAttah states that this integration will need robust infrastructure to work. He sees opportunities for LNG considering the advantage it has over pipelines. He says gas will be the platform for further integration of Africa."

On the question of regional partnership in Africa, @TonyAttah says Nigeria is a gas country with some oil. The fact that a pipeline is currently running out of the country to feed the region signals that partnership based on energy is possible, he says.

@TonyAttah - "Renewables may have an edge but it has downsides as well as sources may not be readily available round the clock. Gas is a credible partner to renewables as energy sources of the future. That partnership will be here for a while."

on @nigeriaLNG's market,@TonyAttah states that the company doesn't have big presence in the African market unlike the European market where @nigeriaLNG is a big player. However @TonyAttah sees opportunities for gas as an integrating factor in Africa.

@TonyAttah adds that NLNG used to control about 10% of LNG global demand until the advent of shale gas. Now it's about 5% to 6%, which he says has led to the decision to grow capacity with #NLNGTrain7, which will increase production capacity by 35%.
