On a personal level, a woman's #psychological vessel is her #ego. Cassandra had a weak vessel. This was her tragic flaw. She was not virgin in a psychological sense:

In contrast, Cassandra, like the hysteric, would do anything to be loved. She ultimately said no to Apollo because it was the only way she could survive in the face of the overwhelming power of the #masculine. Unfortunately, Cassandra was not able to refuse Apollo more #consciously and directly, even confront him on his rapacious, misogynistic #shadow. Through such an act she would have claimed her feminine reality and established her virginity, which would eventually enable her to fulfill her destiny as sacred vessel for the god.
But Cassandra did not have the #ego strength. She had a deeply afflicted relationship to the #feminine, thus her ego was insufficiently grounded in the feminine matrix."
