The Russia investigation found no conspiracy and yet he was impeached twice. Any challenge to 2020 was considered an insurrection by the officials who called the 2016 elections illegitimate for 4 years. >Levitsky’s “How Democracies Die” got applied to Trump, Bolsonaro, Orbán, and Meloni before any of them abolished an election or took power by force. >Between 2023 and 2026, 9 South and Central American governments shifted right, including Milei’s Argentina and Kast’s Chile.
