Anyway, #AskingForThings sometimes stinks. If you struggle with that like I do, perhaps you’ll find this useful or comforting. ~ Fin ~

Here are THE ONLY mitigating thoughts I have had when #AskingForThings seems difficult: 1. Part of self-care is knowing when I deserve to ask for something. 2. Asking on behalf of myself *and* others can contribute to the greater good. 3. Asking can be a “practice in courage.”

4. If you’re #AskingForThings that don’t appear to come naturally, it can feel like you’re either forcing the issue or making yourself a pariah.

#AskingForThings can expose personal insecurity and vulnerability: ”Am I the one who thinks this? If I am, what does that mean?”

Sometimes what we’re really asking for is honesty or transparency, which in turn can involve, even in the most menial way, speaking truth to power. #AskingForThings

First, the lies of Bootstraps and Rugged Individualism has been fed to many of us for some time now. #AskingForThings
