Yr 4 - 12 Lakh Yr 5 - Company went bust So, he got back 48 Lakh, but lost his principal. He lost his friends, their money. Psychologically, very taxing. Learning: - If anyone offers you more than FD returns (Fixed return above 7 to 8%), please take this with a pinch of salt. - Most people invest their life savings in such schemes. Please note that, even in a bank, only upto 5 Lakh is insured and even that is not easy to recover, in case of a problem in the bank. - There are many unregulated companies with such debt schemes. Some give 10%, some 12% etc. AVOID. - Never put your life savings in such schemes. The RBI will not insure above a certain amount. Also, most of the cases, it gets written off. - We are common man. The court case will probably get resolved, after we are gone. - There is no free lunch. Take high interest, reward points, easy credit with lots of caution.
