بنوں میں ہونے والا خوفناک دہشت گرد حملہ جس میں ہمارے بہادر پولیس اہلکاروں نے جامِ شہادت نوش کیا اس حقیقت کی سنگین یاد دہانی ہے کہ خیبر پختونخواکو ایک بار پھر دہشت گردی کی آگ میں دھکیلا جا رہا ہے۔یہ کوئی عام حملہ نہیں تھایہ غیر معمولی حد تک مربوط، تربیت یافتہ اور خوفناک منصوبہ بندی کا نتیجہ تھا۔ اطلاعات کے مطابق جب پولیس کی مزید نفری موقع پر پہنچی تو دہشت گردوں نے اُن پر بھی گھات لگا کر وار کیا جو اس بڑھتے ہوئے خطرے کی سنگینی اور دہشت گرد نیٹ ورکس کی بے خوفی کو بے نقاب کرتا ہے۔بنوں سے ڈیرہ اسماعیل خان تک، شمالی وزیرستان سے با��وڑ تک دہشت گردی کے واقعات میں تیزی آرہی ہے جبکہ خوف و بے یقینی نے عوام کو اپنی لپیٹ میں لیا ہوا ہے۔ اس سے بھی زیادہ پریشان کن بات یہ ہے کہ محض چند روز پہلے حیات آبادجیسے پوش علاقے میں بھی عسکریت پسندوں کی موجودگی کی خبریں منظر عام پر آئیں جو اس بات کا کھلا اعلان ہے کہ خطرہ گھر کے دروازے تک آ پہنچا ہے۔پولیس اور سیکیورٹی اہلکار وطن کے تحفظ کیلئے اپنی جانیں نچھاور کر رہے ہیں لیکن افسوس کہ صوبائی حکومت نہ کوئی سمت رکھتی ہے، نہ کوئی وژن، نہ ہی وہ اس تباہ کن صورتحال سے نمٹنے کے لیے سنجیدہ اور جامع حکمت عملی دینے کی اہلیت رکھتی ہے۔ خیبر پختونخوا کے عوام کو عسکریت پسندوں کے رحم و کرم پر چھوڑ دینا یہ صرف سیکیورٹی کی ناکامی نہیں بلکہ یہ حکمرانی اور حکومت رٹ کی ناکامی ہے۔قومی وطن پارٹی شہداء کو خراج عقیدت پیش کرتی ہے اور اُن کے لواحقین کے ساتھ کھڑی ہے مگر محض تعزیت کافی نہیں بلکہ عوام عملی اقدامات، جوابدہی، اور امن کی بحالی کیلئے واضح حکمت عملی کا مطالبہ کرتے ہیں۔ خیبر پختونخوا کوسیاسی تماشوں اور کھوکھلے نعروں کی نہیں امن، بہتر طرز حکمرانی اور مضبوط قیادت کی ضرورت ہے۔

Pakistan summons an Afghan diplomat to lodge protest over the Bannu attack on a police station. Following is the complete statement
“The Afghan Chargé d’Affaires was summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs today to deliver a strong demarche regarding the cowardly vehicle-borne IED attack carried out by terrorists of Fitna-al-Khawarij on the Fateh Khel Police Post in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Bannu District on 9 May 2026. The attack resulted in the martyrdom of 15 police constables and injuries to four others, including a civilian.
The Ministry conveyed that a detailed investigation into the incident, along with evidence collected and technical intelligence, indicates that the attack was masterminded by terrorists residing in Afghanistan.
Reiterating Pakistan’s grave concern over the continued use of Afghan soil for terrorist attacks against Pakistan, it was impressed upon the Afghan side that Pakistan reserves the right to respond decisively against the perpetrators of this barbaric act.
It was further highlighted that the continued presence of various terrorist organizations on Afghan soil, and the permissive environment enabling their operations, have been well documented in reports by the UN Monitoring Team and other international organizations. The fight against terrorism is a common cause, and the Afghan Taliban must honour their commitment not to allow their territory to be used for terrorism against other countries.
Pakistan has repeatedly urged the Afghan Taliban regime to take concrete and verifiable action against Fitna-al-Khawarij, Fitna-al-Hindustan, and ISKP/Daesh elements operating from Afghan soil.
Pakistan has also constructively engaged with the Afghan Taliban regime through several rounds of talks mediated by brotherly and friendly countries. However, the Afghan Taliban have consistently failed to commit to, or deliver, meaningful and verifiable action against these terrorist outfits.
The Afghan Taliban regime has also been categorically informed that, if it continues to harbour these terrorist organizations, Pakistan will not compromise on its national security or on the safety and protection of its citizens.” End
