Very interesting on so many levels … 1. Like Canada’s #underusedhousingtax and #baretrust reporting rules the government has created uncertainty around new taxes. 2. The clear weaponization of taxation for political purposes. 3. This tax will NOT be the law on the date 2024 tax returns are due. 4. If the Cap gains tax increase does NOT become the law, those who sold their assets will have eroded their assets under false pretences (the government will collect the cap gains tax, but at a lowered rate). 5. #YouCantMakeThisUp! https://t.co/5YHDUVGmd4
