Last night (CET) our academic search engine BASE suffered an outage that lasted for several hours.
We were able able to identify and address the cause of this failure, and BASE is running well again.

Also today, our #search index surpassed the threshold of 310 million documents, as you can see in the chart above.
This confirms BASE as one of the most voluminous academic search engines.

We had an issue with our index this morning. Everything's fixed, but for the time being we de-activated @DataCite in our index. A few weeks ago we indexed all 30 m records from DataCite. This seems to cause problems in our index, which we have to check #BASEsearch #indexing
