I usually don't do maths. But when I do, it is to call out the fast one @Swiggy and #Beanly Coffee tried to pull on me. But much to their annoyance. You made someone who calls himself "The Chai Dude" rant about Coffee! I have a lazy Tuesday today. I did the math, so you did not have to. I ordered 500 ml Latte from #Beanly on @SwiggyCares. The cup looked quite small. I did not have a 500 ml or a 1L cup lying around. So, I decided to calculate. Step 1: Calculating the Average Density of the Liquid Latte has 3 part Milk and 1 part espresso (essentially water). Density of toned milk: ~1.03 g/ml Density of plain water: 1.00 g/ml Ratio: 3 parts milk to 1 part water (4 parts total) The Blend: (3 parts milk × 1.03) + (1 part water × 1.00) = 3.09 + 1.00 = 4.09 Average Density = 4.09 / 4 total parts Average Density = 1.0225 g/ml Step 2: Calculate the Volume of the Liquid Then I determined how much space the liquid itself takes up, independent of the ice. Net mass of the liquid: 325 g (Picture attached) Formula: Volume = Mass / Average Density The Math: Volume = 325 g / 1.0225 g/ml Liquid Volume = 317.85 ml Shortfall: 182.15 ml Where is the 182.15 ml of coffee @Swiggy? Considering Ice volume Step 3: Calculate the Mass and Volume of the Ice Ice has a lower density than liquid water (which is why it floats), meaning a specific mass of ice takes up slightly more space than the same mass of water. Density of solid ice: ~0.917 g/ml Total mass of contents: 395 g Mass of liquid: 325 g Mass of Ice = Total Mass - Liquid Mass Mass of Ice = 395 g - 325 g = 70 g of ice The Math for Volume: Volume of Ice = Mass of Ice / Density of Ice Volume of Ice = 70 g / 0.917 g/ml Ice Volume = 76.36 ml Step 4: Calculate the Total Volume and the Shortfall Finally, I added the liquid volume and the ice volume together to see exactly how much of the 500 ml cup was actually filled. The Math for Total Volume: Total Volume = Liquid Volume + Ice Volume Total Volume = 317.85 ml + 76.36 ml Total Volume in Cup = 394.21 ml The Math for Shortfall: Shortfall = Ordered Volume - Actual Total Volume Shortfall = 500 ml - 394.21 ml Total Missing Volume = 105.79 ml TLDR: Without Ice, I was shortchanged by 182.15 ml of coffee. With ice, I was shortchanged by 105.79 ml of coffee. I need answers @Swiggy

Considering Ice volume
Step 3: Calculate the Mass and Volume of the Ice
Ice has a lower density than liquid water (which is why it floats), meaning a specific mass of ice takes up slightly more space than the same mass of water.

Density of solid ice: ~0.917 g/ml

Total mass of contents: 395 g
Mass of liquid: 325 g

Mass of Ice = Total Mass - Liquid Mass

Mass of Ice = 395 g - 325 g = 70 g of ice

The Math for Volume:

Volume of Ice = Mass of Ice / Density of Ice

Volume of Ice = 70 g / 0.917 g/ml

Ice Volume = 76.36 ml

Step 4: Calculate the Total Volume and the Shortfall
Finally, I added the liquid volume and the ice volume together to see exactly how much of the 500 ml cup was actually filled.

The Math for Total Volume:

Total Volume = Liquid Volume + Ice Volume

Total Volume = 317.85 ml + 76.36 ml

Total Volume in Cup = 394.21 ml

The Math for Shortfall:

Shortfall = Ordered Volume - Actual Total Volume

Shortfall = 500 ml - 394.21 ml

Total Missing Volume = 105.79 ml

TLDR: Without Ice, I was shortchanged by 182.15 ml of coffee.

With ice, I was shortchanged by 105.79 ml of coffee.
