My grandpa would be scandalised to know that his grandchildren may soon not freely keep bees without a permit from a post-colonial Kenyan government. That all the wisdom in beekeeping passed thro generations may be worth nothing unless a government official says so #beekeepingKE
With a rising human population in the world, less than half of Africa's arable land being utilized, apiculture should be encouraged by governments. Passing laws in parliament that discourage #beekeepingKE will be the saddest day for humanity.

We need a philosophy where food production is about food for ourselves, not food for foreign exchange. As @m_ogada said, food for foreigners is food for servitude. #beekeepingKE

A government trying to stop people from keeping bees is stupid. You want everybody to keep bees if they could, because bees are life. Their honey is only a fraction of what they provide. Whoever introduced that bill is suffering from extreme dehumanization. #beekeepingKE
